The clean, economical lines of Monroe Stadium were constructed as part of the Vandergrift High School/Four Points Middle School complex for Leander ISD.  The stadium is situated between the two campuses in an area of sloping hillside and large stone retaining walls that allows the home grandstand to not only fit into the Hill Country environment but to also be raised above the artificial turf playing field and track.  The field is intended to serve not just those two schools but as a district wide facility.  The new stadium has seating for over 5000 people with 2980 on the home side, an 1800 square foot press box, convessions stands/toilet buildings for both grandstands, and a new field house on the north end with an overflow concrete seating area in front.  Field events such as the long jump are situated directly adjacent to provide for all disctrick track tournaments.
